As our organization continues to grow, we're looking for a motivated Human Resources Assistant to support a wide range of HR initiatives while gaining valuable hands-on experience across recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, HR technology, and compliance. What You'll Do

As a Human Resources Assistant, you'll support daily HR operations and strategic initiatives that help attract, develop, and retain top talent across Pisces Healthcare Solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment and talent acquisition activities, including: 
  • Posting job openings 
  • Screening resumes 
  • Scheduling interviews 
  • Coordinating candidate communications 
• Support new hire onboarding and orientation activities. 
• Prepare onboarding documentation and ensure a positive employee experience. 
• Maintain and update employee records within the HRIS system (Paylocity). 
• Assist with policy acknowledgements, compliance tracking, and employee documentation. 
• Support employee engagement initiatives, company events, and internal communications. 
• Assist with HR reporting, audits, data entry, and recordkeeping. 
• Provide administrative support for HR projects, policy updates, and process improvement initiatives. 
• Assist with training material preparation and HR program implementation. 
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee information. 
• Support special projects and additional HR initiatives as assigned.

Requirements:

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing a degree at a Virginia Public or Private University or College in: 
  • Human Resources 
  • Business Administration 
  • Psychology 
  • Or a related field 
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources or People Operations. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities. 
• Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. 
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn. 
• Experience with HRIS systems or applicant tracking systems is a plus.
