Reid and Riege, P.C., seeks a self-motivated attorney with experience drafting estate plan documents, designing estate plans, counseling fiduciaries in the settlement of estates and administration of trusts, and researching associated tax and other legal issues.  Recognized as a 2026 Best Places to Work by the Hartford Business Journal, our firm is known for its collaborative culture and commitment to professional development. Depending on the candidate, this position will be based either in the firm’s downtown Hartford office, the firm’s downtown New Haven office, or a hybrid of both offices. Predominantly in person. Limited hybrid work arrangements will be considered on an individual basis

This attorney will join a growing 75+ year trust and estates practice at the firm. The firm offers significant opportunities for career advancement and development within the attorney’s areas of interest, including estate and tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and families, fiduciary litigation, complex estate settlement, and business succession planning.

Attorneys meeting these criteria are encouraged to apply. The firm can accommodate an attorney with early career experience (1+ years), and an attorney with significant experience (5+ years). Compensation is competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s experience. 

Requirements

• Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills  
• Demonstrate appropriate initiative and judgment when making decisions
• Work independently but collaboratively within a team environment that includes attorneys, support staff and fiduciary managers
• JD from an accredited law school
• Connecticut Bar admission in good standing or ability to become admitted promptly
